Skylar Hardman is a senior on the Lady Panther's Soccer Team. The team, last year, finished in forth place at the State Tournament, and she received an All Conference Award for the 2016 season.
What was your biggest accomplishment and why?
My biggest accomplishment would have to be getting to the semifinals last year, being only a second year team. We all worked so hard to prove to everyone that we could do it.
Who are some contributors to your success?
God is number one, for blessing me with the abilities and opportunities to play soccer. Probably my other biggest contributor would have to be my parents. They've taken me to and from games/practices my whole life. They're my support system and my rock for whatever gets thrown at me.
What goals do you hope to accomplish with your team this season?
Of course, TAKE STATE, but I hope we can come together and be more than a team, but a family. My goal is for all of us to work hard and have the same desire to win, as the rest of us do.
Who is your greatest inspiration and why?
My greatest inspiration would have to be my Mom. She is such a strong woman and deals with so much. I don't know how she does it honestly.
What is the toughest thing you've had to overcome in order to reach your goals?
I think it is hard to balance school, friends, family, work, and athletics. Sometimes I feel like I don't spend enough time with my family or on my school work.
What would you tell a younger athlete that looked up to you?
I would tell them to never give up. Keep fighting through anything you're dealing with. Go outside and take a run, put in extra practice, and don't forget you're cleats!
What is your game day ritual?
Well ill pack my uniform and clothes the night before, also shower the night before. Then I wake up and braid my hair. Before the game I try to relax and stretch throughout the day. Drink lots of water also!
